    Countered? Check actual history Michiel. What prey tell were the UN
inspectors looking for Michiel? What led them to believe that WMD's
existed within Iraq? The search for WMD's had been attempted by the UN
inspector for years. If no WMD's existed as you would like to suggest
then why did Hussein go to such great efforts to hide what didn't exist?
It has been internationally known for decades that Hussein used WMD's
against his own people and against Iran. And again during the gulf war.
Hussein made his desire to aquire WMD's quite clear. But you choose to
deny history. Now why is that? Oh.. Yeah.. You think Bush lied.

    That why I said that it didn't matter. The existance of WMD's in
Iraq isn't in question. The real question that matters is why did Bush
choose to claim he had proof when he didn't. That's really where the
differance of opinion should exist. I Agree that it was wrong for Bush
to claim something that he couldn't produce. The remaining question that
remains is did he lie with intent or did he go with the information
provided him and used bad judgement. In the end it doesn't really matter
as the result ended up being the same.

    I agree IF we both were talking about a complex or other secured
area.


     I am talking about Iraq as a whole Michiel. Who is to say that the
WMD's were stored in a complex when the inspectors were able look for
them? If the inspectors entered Iraq what prevented Hussein from moving
the WMD's out one of the backdoors in Iraq. I would guess that probably
Syria got some.

     Having a backdoor or fallback position just seems like a logical
precaution.
