Sashimi is raw fish served with sushi on the side - not wrapped
in or around it.  SUSHI IS RICE.

Seriously, sushi is rice prepared with sushi vinegar.  There
are kits available online for those who want to make it themselves.

Sure, it is rice prepared with sushi vinegar.  But it is still rice.
The rice used in Japan for sushi rice is a small medium-grain sticky
rice.

The reason for confusion is that sushi can be served with raw fish.
Some folks confuse sushi with raw fish, thinking the two are one and
the same.  Sushi is rice.  Sashimi is raw fish.
