=================================
On 08-30-09, ROBERT BASHE said to ROSS CASSELL:

RC> Of course he has made no secret about his police chase incident as the
RC> cause of his bad back.

RC> https://pubtitles.co.pinellas.fl.us/login/loginx.jsp?goto=/mainmenux.j
RC> sp

RB>I see reckless driving, DWI, marijuana possession and flight from an
RB>officer. Not nice, but certainly nothing that couldn't happen to a normal
RB>person with some bad luck and personality problems. In addition, all the
RB>things listed there were at the latest in the early 1990s, alnost 20 years
RB>ago. Time to forget.

Wayne won't LET anyone forget! He's hammered on this issue, blaming the cop
for his problems, for as long as I can remember him posting in Fido!

Here's the deal......now think about this carefully:

Wayne pounded on some story about him innocently riding his motorcycle down
the street....when suddenly some cop began tailgating him illegally, without
any emergency lights on (illegally).....no siren (illegally), around three
feet or so off the tail end of Wayne's motorcycle (by the way...the over-use
of the word *illegally* is entirely Wayne's, not mine), and at some point hit
the bike knocking Wayne down on the street.

Now, according to Wayne's story.....while he lay there bleeding from several
injuries, instead of summoning emergency medical assistance, the cop (with the
assistance of other cops) arrested him, cuffed him, tossed him into the back
of a prowl car and took him to jail.

It gets better.......

According to Wayne's version, completely against his wishes a friend of his
came and paid to bail Wayne out, and drove him home. Further, according to
Wayne's version, he suspected that he was missing height from his stature as a
result of this so-called `accident', so he immediately went into his abode,
measured himself, and sure enough! he discovered he was missing height!

Now, after reading Wayne's version of this tale several times, and him flying
into a rage over some of the things I said to him about it.....I decided to
ask Wayne to calmly sit down at his keyboard and post to me exactly what had
occured. Maybe I had misunderstood something in it. Oddly enough, he did just
that.

After I read his account...told the way *he* saw it.....a couple of simple
questions immediately suggested themselves:

1. If he was bleeding after being knocked over on the motorcycle, and injured
as he claims....why didn't the cop summon emergency medical aid? Cops don't
knock people off of motorcycles injuring them, and just let them bleed all
over the seat of their prowl car. Cops don't refuse to get someone who's
injured and bleeding to medical help. The entity they work for could be sued
for a fortune! Not to mention the cop could lose their job.

2. Why didn't he want to be bailed out? He insisted his friend bailed him out
against his strong wishes not to do so. What would cause someone to *not* want
to bail out of a jail?

3. After he had been bailed out....why did he not have his friend drive him to
emergency medical services for his injuries? A full medical evaluation of his
injuries at that point would have been of great value to a law suit.

And;

4. Why didn't he file a law suit? If this occured the way he tells it, the
whole incident is a law suit looking for a courtroom! He'd have no doubt won,
and probably would have been financially set for a long time to come.

The answers Wayne gave to those simple questions told me there was a lot more
to the whole incident that Wayne wasn't telling......and his latest arrest for
criminal trespass, landing him in a `hold for observation' situation brought
out the truth.

And...those questions only led to a few more:

According to Wayne.....his back had been broken in this incident. Which raised
the following questions:

1. If his back was broken.....how did he walk out of the jail and climb into
his friend's vehicle to be taken home?

2. If his back was broken....how did he get out of his friend's vehicle and
walk inside his abode without help?

One of the big problems with this whole story is the way it morph's over time
as Wayne refers to it, or answers questions about it.

RB>> Gloating over such stuff only lowers you.

Nobody's *gloating* over anything. The real situation is....Wayne won't shut
up about the whole thing, constantly brings it into conversations, and lies
about it when he does.

Here's something nobody has brought (and Wayne doesn't know) up about his
latest brush with the law;

I seem to recall a few of us discussing in back channel communication media
some of us use to keep in touch, the possibility of bailing him out of the can
so he wouldn't lose his possessions in his abode! But it turned out he wasn't
bailable. He was being held for an observation period in this last incident.

If you got a look at the booking mug shot of this latest arrest, you'd
probably understand why.

RC> Oh heavens no, not gloating, but if I was in his shoes and my own
RC> actions are what landed me in a undesirable boat, I would have no one
RC> else to blame but myself and it would be incumbent upon me to accept
RC> that responsibility.

RB>And string up the baddies, eh, like in the good old days?

RB>Frankly, I think you're judging too harshly and getting a little too
RB>involved with other people's failings - I also think publishing records of
RB>people's failings in the Internet is something that could only happen in
RB>the States, where there is no such thing as the privacy laws we have in
RB>the EU and people apparently don't consider such publication distasteful
RB>and a gross invasion of privacy.

Wayne told a story about an incident. *He* kept bringing it up in various
echoes. The way he constantly told it sounded fishy. The more he talked about
it the fishier it got. Finely, with his latest arrest, the truth of the
incident came out. The Pinellas County Sheriff tells a far different version
than Wayne does. Far more factual.

RB>Anyway, this thread has gone on long enough and exposed enough dirty linen
RB>on all sides.

All that has to happen is for Wayne to *just shut up about it*! Stop bringing
it up all the time, stop trying to shove *his* victimhood into the tale, and
it will go away!

But when he brings it up and lies about it....he will get called on it.

RB>The subject was health insurance, and I propose we stick to that now.

Fiine. *If* Chirnside will stick to that.....so will others.
