     Like you , me, or Felten himself are following the rules. My point
is that if there are to be rules. They need to be applied fairly and equally
to all. Correct? If they are not, then those rules are meaningless. Felten
has stated that the users are to moderate themselves. That leaves each of us
free to interpret the rules as we see fit and apply them as such. The point
is that such an arangement only serves to compound the chaos. We have been
through the matter of interpretation before. The basic problem hasn't changed
and that is the lack of a moderator. We need someone that still cares and has
an interest in Fidonews and is willing to be an active moderator. We have seen
the results of Felten's way of moderating.

     Shut up and ignore the chaos? I can see where that would work to
get this echo back on track. Not! Putting on blinders and denial is not
the solution. The solution is someone that is willing to participate, to
take an active role. If that person is Felten then fine. But he has made
it clear that he no longer cares enough take an active role any longer
Do you think that my goal is wrong? To have an echo where people can post
messages about Fidonews without fear that th will be attacked for their
views of where they happen to live or to be call names or insulted. And
that is all from the person that we also know as the moderator.
