That 'Winchester' is one more of the naming anomalies used in the firearms
world. The round was probably first chambered in a Winchester rifle, but
it is common to find it made by many different manufacturers. Mine are not
Winchesters, but they are still of the same quality, a Ruger Mini-14
(which is semi-automatic) and a Remington 700 BDL, Varmint Special, bolt
action rifle which holds 5 rounds, maximum. The barrel on the Remington is
3/4" in diameter at the muzzle and tapers bigger to the breech. Firing
from a bench rest, a five shot group at 100 yards can be covered with a
quarter...
