I can't put my finger on it, but there's a definate difference in any
other 'sutherin' I've ever heard before. Mine is a Chicagoian hard Rs
midwestern speach with a big hint of Californian in it, but these Texicans
have an even different way of speaking.

The same can be said of California. Not only don't you get to know your
neighbors, it's hard to make good lasting friendships. Too many people on
the move there. I still stay in touch with friends made there, but only a
handful now.

That's normal behavior around here. I wave at my neighbors when driving
down the street, because they got me into the habit by waving first. That
just doesn't happen in California.

Well, if you lived nearer Dallas, you'd find things a bit different. San
Antonio is quite different from the small town I live in now.

I heard on the news today that Texas and the southeastern states are
having a growth period, along with the Rocky mountain states. California
is shrinking in population as the housing market takes a nose dive there.

I miss real mex...Texmex I got used to, but real Mexican beats Texmex all
to hell...:o)
