Of course. Canada and Mexico...But I really needn't go outside the borders
of America to ask them because we have people from countries in South
America and Central America as well. They're called by their country's
name, such as Americans from the US.

Actually they are. Native Americans are like Australia's Aborignies. A
seperate group of people who live on tribal land. Many black decesendants
of Native African slaves refer to themselves as African Americans.

And so they would be referred to as Americans, if the name were to be a
condition of their country's name. None exist.

No, Americans come from the United States. All others are referred to by
their country of origin, not continent.
