Which has _what_ do do with direct account transfers and online payments? Of
_course_ you can transfer money from one of _your_ accounts to another.

Yeah... as long as the other account is also in your name. You can do with at
the Fifth Third too. But try doing that with the account of a creditor. You'll
be told that you can _only_ transfer funds to another account in_your_ name. So
why bother? Your guess is as good as mine.

Look at the website of the Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio. Or even
better, try out the demo online account.

Apparently you've never used the "Internet payment" option of your online
account. The situation is precisely what I've described.

Did I ever say or even hint at that? Of course not. More secure systems involve
direct transfers using one-time and temporarily valid transaction numbers, as
we have in Europe.
