We can agree on that.  I don't know how much the researchers get paid; as
long as a healthy percentage of the money that is alotted for the research
goes towards technology to monitor the planet, that much is fine by me. But,
I don't think any scientist should be making more than 60-80k a year on
grants/donations.

There are definitely fanatics where global warming is concerned.  I think
people should be educated, but there should also be choice.  Push too hard
and people ignore what you're saying simply because you're becoming annoying.

I'm not saying that we're headed for anything like in the movies.  But, it
does seem like common sense.  Add more heat energy to the planet (via less
radiating to space) and a lot of it becomes kinetic energy through
atmospheric effects.

We're not.  I'm one of the "what will be will be" types.  We all have our
opinions.  Right now, I'm a single dad of two, looking for work, with nothing
better to do when I'm not job hunting than look for conversation.  I'm not
trying to challenge anyone's beliefs.  I'm not saying we're all gonna die,
just that cold weather doesn't necessarily prove or disprove anything, nor
does hot weather.

I don't think we have enough data one way or another.  All we can do is keep
looking at the global mean temps, observe weather patterns and number of
severe weather occurrences, and wait and see what happens.  Should be
interesting!
