Even though their Constitution wasn't changed until 1979...twenty years
after the revolution. And in the act of revolution, the constitution of
1940 was violated in every aspect. Not a government to be proud of.

They might. i.e. I've signed an agreement with the taxing body in this
county to defer all of my property taxes until one of the surviving
property owners vacate this place or die, whichever comes first. To retain
the property, my heirs have to honor that agreement and pay the back
taxes. If not, C'est la vie...

Not...a lease between two parties can be anything the parties wish it
to be. Obviously that is the case here.

The only thing I'd sign would be an order to invade your country to rescue
any and all Americans there from being prosecuted in your world court. If
any Dutchman gets in the way, oh fucking well.

Perhaps they were just utterly greatful to the American government for
rescuing them during their third attempt to free themselves from their
Europeon enslaver and aggressor state. That happened a lot in the last
century before we helped them.
