Small correction: it was 1.8 M for both, so 900 each.

It was not that they just walked into a police station and said "hé we did it!"
you know. There was heavy co‰rcion from the side of the police. Not the first
time a not too strong suspects confesses under pressure just to get it over
with.

Sorry, it is in Dutch, but I am sure that using that as a starting point, you

You can try, but I doubt if it will work. There have been too many cases of
false confession in the last two decades. They have learned a lesson, no Dutch
court today will convict on a confession alone. If there is no forensic
evidence to support the confession there is no case. Instead of in prison, you
may end uo in the looney bin. No compensation for that...

Over 120K a year may seem like a lot to you and it is a very good salary for a
9 to five, five days a week job with holidays and sabattical leave. But of
course it isn't a 9 to 5 job.
