This whole business started with several mysterious murders, Roy. All over
Germany, several owners of Kiosks (small refreshment stands selling drinks,
maybe sausage, cigarettes and the like). The dead were all of foreign
extraction, but not all islamic. There was nothing to connect them except the
fact that they'd all been shot with the same weapon. No apparent reason, no
connection. The situation was under investigation for several years, but there
were simnply no leads.

Then, one fine day, there was an explosion in a house. Two people, both young
men, were killed, and a third person, a woman, escaped harm. While
investigating the cause of the explosion, police found the murder weapon and a
large number of neo-Nazi literature and posters. Further investigation and
questioning of the surviving woman then showed that this had been some kind of
a neo-Nazi cell and that the men had done the murders. Further investigation is
still in progress.

It wasn't a question of the police not doing their job - there was simply
nothing to tie the murders in with some kind of radical conspiracy until the
explosion (people now think the two were trying to make bombs) happened and
provided the first concrete lead in the cases.

I seem to remember something termed "Nippelgate" in the States, that elicited a
hearty "ho-hum" in practically every European. On the other hand, computer
games that include violence (for example Duke Nukem) are often banned in
Germany, but sold over the counter in the States. Every place has it's own
hang-ups, and they're rarely the same ones.

Same here, but "sexual content" is defined less rigorously then in the States.
And violent films are also usually shown late at night.
