Hello Roy,

Roy> 8^) As in ECROC...a copy of which I have kept over the years since.

Yep, have a copy as published in the snooze. Main portion i disagreed with was
the long drawn out appeal process before
a link could be cut. Cut the link, go through the process.
if the cut was nost fair just or whatever word you wish to
use, restore the link, but cut the link before all the
faux judicial maneuvers.

Roy> As an attorney, he should have been a reliable source on the
Roy> legality in Fidonet of certain 'policies'...

Should have been, but he forgot a few things. I have a
right to invite whosoever I wish into my domicile, and
anybody else can enter only with a warrant. Same is true
for systems and echoes. IF I shoudl have reason to
disinvite somebody to use an echo it's for a reason, and as
the mod that request should be honored before we go through
all sorts of appeals and whatnot. Otherwise, a disruptive
influence remains disruptive. That was my biggest problem with MOrvasic's
ecroc. I remember the arguments about it in fn_sysop. IN fact, I participated
in a few of them.
Anybody with mid-nineties archives might have some of my
posts from that argument.

<snippety doo dah>

Maybe, but TW makes more sense.

RW> <rotfl!!!> Yeah, I learned both versions of braille

Roy> Dunno why. I also included some amateur repeaters in it's memory. As

<rotflmao!!!> I love it! You're beginning to sound like
me. I might do something like that.

I tried to get Kathy to learn the code enough to pass her 5
wpm, she took the test 3 times and couldn't get it. She
finally got her general when they offered a no code general though.

MEanwhile I used to participate in qlf contests. For the
uninitiated that was sending code on a straight key with
one's left foot. i won a qlf contest back in IOwa years ago <g>.

RW>> Interesting, same echotag, two different purposes and meanings.

 roy>> yeup.

RW> YEp, never knew about that version of z1c. Quite interesting.

Roy> I didn't know that either, until I browsed through a 1998
Roy> echolisting file the other day.

Quite interesting. <hmmm>

Regards,
           Richard
