Former ZCs remain invited guests, it is nowhere written down but its an
honour-thing that their expertise is relied upon whether or not it is there.
 
In the past I have been a supporter to open-up ZCC for broad read-only access.
ZCC-members over the years, with ZC1 always playing the big drum, have advised
against it and being the good colleague that I am, I honoured their wishes
although my feelings lay elsewhere.
 
I would believe that Manuel Adorni, Malcolm Miles, Scott Little, Renato Zambon
and Russell Tiedt play the game correctly.
 
That leaves only ... systems in Z1 ... to set-up their own sneaky kind of
distribution. I know it is done there as I've been offered restricted echoes
before by distributors there in the past. Personally I'd trust Bob Seaborn too
as in other cases he seems to play the game correctly with the exception of the
Fidonews-lockout.
 
The names of people not to be trusted for security-breaches therefore are:
 
* Janis Kracht
* Carol Shenkenberger
 
Please take your pick.
 
As an encore ... in recent months there was an issue involving a Z1-sysop and I
had a hunch routed netmail was being read. So I did write something out of the
ordinary in netmail and sent it separately at different intervals, via the 3
channels I have in Z1 ... first Bob Seaborn, then Ross Cassell, finally Janis
Kracht.
 
When sent via Bob and Ross nothing happened, the mail arrived at its
destination with good speed.
 
When the mail was sent via Janis Kracht, something odd occured. It seemed like
it was slowed-down at her system. She acted upon it and released a public
comment not realising she was being tricked before the mail was delivered to
its final destination.
 
From that day I had proof Janis' system was a security breach and she is not to
be trusted with anything confidential.
 
How I loved David Moufarrege as ZC1 ...
 
Here, for me, I am proud that netmail processing is set up in such a way I
don't even get a chance to see it. For me it was an honour-thing I couldn't get
access to it, it seems not everybody is so.
