LOL! Those diesel engines drive generators that power the electric motors
that drive the locomotive that pulls the train of cars behind it. I doubt
that they'd feed megavolts of electricity thru the tracks, so if they're
electric only, they have to get their electricity from overhead. The last
time I saw overhead electricity was for the street cars in Chicago, a
couple or two scores ago. 1948?

Those fields are all that seperate San Diego from Los Angeles. I doubt
they'll go away soon, since they're part of the government's plan to
maintain a fighting force.

There's only one train station here and it's been converted to a railroad
museum decades ago. You have to go to San Marcos or San Antonio to find a
station for the purpose of loading and unloading passengers.
