Thomas Jefferson was Episcopalian.
George Washington was Episcopalian.
James Madison was Episcopalian.
John Adams was Unitarian.
All Christians.

Christianity is a religion.  Deism is a philosophy. George Washington
denied describing himself as being deist. Thomas Jefferson ascribed to
some deist ideas, but not all, and was always remained an Episcopalian.
John Adams was a philosopher, not a deist, but was always a Unitarian.

Again, deism is a philosophy, not a religion.  Of the delegates to
the Constitutional Convention of 1787 (both signers and non-signers),
only two held deist views (Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin).
And both Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin were Episcopalian.
As for how many presidents held deist views, that number is one -
Thomas Jefferson.  And he was and always remained an Episcopalian.

Thomas Jefferson was Episcopalian.  He may have expressed sentiment
for Unitarian values, but he always remained an Episcopalian.

Of course.  I have read it, and have a copy.  But that does not make
deism a religion.  It is a philosophy.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Wow!  With only two individuals (Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin
Franklin) holding deist views (aside from being Episcopalian),
among those being signers of the Declaration of Independence,
delegates to the Constitutional Convention of 1787, and presidents
of the United States, we must be a Deist nation indeed!

Da Sonny, and Da Holy Ghosty. That most certainly makes him a Christian.

However, during his campaign for president, Obama disowned his former
