I don't know how that could happen. First, you would have to have at least
35-50% of the muslim population to make their religion dominant. All the
christian and jews can still be the dominate religion now, with a bunch of
muslims in their midst, each enjoying their own style of religion.

Actually, if the ghetto residents wished to remain 'old world', then all
they needed to do was to remain in their ghetto (many did just that). But
when they were told that they can be anything and aspire to everything
available and get rich doing it, they tended to get out and 'get theirs'.

You must really be blinded by the forrest around you. The Jews are allowed
to walk among you with their scraggly beards, long unkempt hair, black
derby hat and clothes, which is part of their religion. Why aren't y'all
discriminating against them, Mr Halocaust?

Depends. In the German community where I grew up, German was still spoken
by a lot of people. In 'little italy' down the road a ways, the Italians
spoke a lot of wop. I'm told that here in Texas, in many of the German
'first settled' communities they all spoke German and they shuned anyone
who didn't speak it. Today, very few speak German, unless they're at an
event celebrating a German folks event (I love German potato pancakes, but
can't order them in anything but English and broken Spanish). In So.
California, before I even moved there, most signs were in both English and
Spanish, as were the voting ballots, etc. and still are.
