I referred to a "forum". Those are common in www and have nothing to do with
Usenet.

Both wrong. Internet forums don't have "message headers" - they are not a
Usenet newsgroup or a collection of emails - and messages (postings) are often
stored for years.

IP addresses (at least of the provider and the intermediate stations if not
your own) _are_ stored in the headers of emails, but that's another case
entirely.

I notice you provide no specifics for your claim. Understandable, since no bank
- internet or otherwise - will open an account for you without positive
identification nowadays (passport, national identity card, in the USA two photo
IDs). That used to be possible in the USA in the 1930s and previously - there
are stories of how W.C. Fields used to open accounts at every whistle stop,
providing a ficticious name - and making it impossible to trace all his assets
after his death - but those times are long gone.
