Yes, I know what a Schuko plug is and the picture I gave is not the schuko, but
the ungrounded 2 prong socket.

It also shows the matching plug. It has been in extensive use in The
Netherlands, nut is no longer allowed on new equip,emt since I think the mid
eighties. Not that the 16A ungrounded plug will not fit into a Shucko outlet,
where the schuko plug will fit into the ungrounded socket.

If you want to see them in Germany, you have to go to a museum.

Mind you the NEW 16A ungrounded plug will fit into schuko, but that new plug
may only be used with double isolated equipment.

It will also fit into a French/Belgian socket.

As far as the sockets go: yes.

Not really. I have a 500 Watt electic heater in my caravan. It has a Euro plug.
Same for some small power tools I have. Some Europlugs are rated for 6A (Only
in France I think) others I rated for 2.5A. Still good enough for over 500
Watts.

We'v had the pipes for three quarters of a century. First it was made from coal
and was 50% H and 50% CO. Later it was natural gas, mostly CH4.
