It isn't rocket science either. A small incision is made and an
Arthroscopic tool inserted. My sister had this procedure a short time ago.

Duhhhh. My parathyroid operation was done under full anesthesia. I had a
short discussion with the Anestheologist on the way to the OR. I was
released that same afternoon, groggie, but no hospital stay.

Probably because the surgeon gets a kickback from the hospital.

That's how it is done in a system that is out to make extra money on
patients with no need, but 'just because' for a week in the hospital.

This little burg has one hospital in operation (was built in the 1960s and
updated regularly) and a new hospital being built in a new development
just north of here (my house).  I happened to drive by it the other day
and was impressed that it was as huge as the several hospitals I've
visited in San Antonio.

They've migrated that far! Used to be that Californians moved to Oregon in
the summer time and back to Cali in the fall. OTH, I've met native
Montanans in So. California, there for permanent residentials, not just
visiting for the summer.
