It is for the presidential election of 1992...All of those names except
Clinton, Nader and perhaps LaRouche changed in 1996...

In spite of what Lee says, the popular vote on election day in November,
gives the Electoral College the means to know which candidate to vote for
when they meet in December to cast their votes. But that isn't written in
stone. Each EC member may vote as their conscience dictates.

last week we had a Texas Constitutional change election and a school bond
issue election. Next May, we'll have another to find out who will be going
and who will be staying home in the Texas legislature, in the 2015
session...

Yes and vice versa. The HR has sent various legislation proposals to the
Senate, whose majority leader refuses to even look at, which means they
don't get to the Senate floor for a vote. What passes one house must also
pass the other house before it is sent to the Prez for his signature or
veto. If he vetoes that, it goes back to the legislature for another vote,
which can make the legislation law, with a 2/3 majority vote. If the Prez
signs legislation sent to him, it becomes law.

IMO, they could do away with this procedure and only meet every other year
for 6 months maximum...we already have enough laws to choke an elephant.

We have term limits here (Texas). If a mayor goes rogue, we can replace
him/her with a recall election or just wait for the next elecion two years
from now.
