I did quote Jackie Kennedy, whose view was shared by most Americans.
Well, maybe not quite that close a view, being she was literally there,
grabbing bits of JFK's brain in and on the car.

Oswald was a low-level CIA agent, used to that sort of thing.
As such, he never complained, being cool as a cucumber the whole
time he was held at the station.

What evidence?  Nobody saw Oswald shoot anybody.  He was not charged
with any crime, although he was brought in for questioning in regards
to a local policeman who was shot to death.  Framing Oswald was easy,
as he was a loner from New Orleans with no apparent reason for being
in Dallas.

What evidence?  None that could directly tie Oswald to the crime.
And whatever evidence there might have been of others involved in
the crime would have been shredded, lost, or destroyed long ago.
Not to mention those responsible having died of old age or other
causes.

The same number of shots, within the same time frame, with the same
degree of accuracy?  No way, Jose.  I don't care how good a marksman
you are or may have been.  However, without a scope it might have
been possible.

With a scope it is impossible to replicate those shots within
the given time frame and with the same degree of accuracy.  Without
the use of a scope it is possible.  But only for the very best of
marksmen.  And then only with lots of practice beforehand.

According to The Warren Commission, Lee Harvey Oswald used a scope.
The reason why it was stated as such was because the gun that was
supposedly recovered had a scope attached to it.  No testing had
ever been done to verify its accuracy, as it was assumed no such
testing was necessary.  After all, everybody knew that Oswald was
the only suspect, the only suspect who had a sniper's rifle, even
though nobody asked where or how he got hold of one.  :)

Where's the body?  How can anybody prove that Oswald is dead without
the body?  John Wilkes Booth was supposedly shot and killed and laid
to rest, but when a judge ordered his body to be exhumed nobody could
find his body, much less his gravesite.  In fact, the body of John
Wilkes Booth had been stuffed and sold to a traveling circus, only
to have been stolen in 1977 by the CIA in Philadelphia.  You'll have
to contact Jimmy Carter for details on that one, as he was commander
in chief at that time.

Stealing bodies of famous (and infamous) people is a tradition that
goes back centuries, if not since the time man began walking the face
of this earth.  For example, the body of Benito Mussolini was stolen,
only to be "recovered" later by authorities who claimed to have made
the find, and then reburied at another location.  The body of Mr. Ed
was stolen by unknown assailants, never to be found.  Mr. Ed was a
talking horse, star of an American television series, who was really
a mare.

The fact that people travel to see Lee Harvey Oswald's grave does not
mean that Oswald is buried there, or is even dead at all.  It may bring
"closure" to some, giving them a sense that Oswald is dead, even though
he may be very much alive and well.

There is just no way to tell if someone is dead or alive until one
has seen the rotting remains of the one who is allegedly dead.

I mean, nobody truly believes that Jim Morrison really died in a
bathtub in Paris, France.  Not without a smile on his face, anyway.

A few years after JFK's death, Jackie said she believed he would
have ended the Vietnam war and brought our troops home.  Unfortunately,
the world will never know what would have happened had JFK been allowed
to serve a second term.

You do realize JFK survived the assassination attempt on November 22,
1963?  He was left crippled, but very much alive, cared for at the
Bethesda Naval Hospital for decades until he passed away a few weeks
ago.  The story about refurbishing the eternal flame at his gravesite
was just the cover story for burying the real JFK.

The US would be doing itself a favor by ending the embargo against
Cuba.  As it is now, Americans have to travel to Mexico in order to
catch a flight to Cuba, returning home by the same route.  Kind of
crazy, considering we are only 90 miles apart.

Well, probably best to spend a bit of cash, as it is kind of hard
to lug a piano around ...
