Nope. One of those sites give you explicit instructions on how to do it
with a universal remote...a BDP Sony requires the use of both the
universal and the Sony remote. The procedure is more complicated than
re-programming a remote control for you car.

Absolutely. The Insignia I use on the 60" HD is excellent quality and
serves two purposes. The volume on the TV is kept low, while the volume on
the sound bar is kept higher. During commercials, I remotely set the sound
bar to mute, while the TV stays just loud enough that you can hear it if
you want to.

The sound bar has three settings for sound and a bass control. It has much
better sound quality than the Sony's 5.1 digital stereo.
