Ärende: The `Global Warming' Scam

Up betimes in my usual Saturday morning late-rising fashion; a leasurely
breakfast while perusing several of my favorite `info' and news sites on the
Net.


Low and behold! Vindication at last!


Here's some recent and near-past information from some VERY prominent people
in the field, that backs up my long-held opinion that `climate change-nee-
global warming' is one of the biggest con jobs ever foisted on taxpayers
world-wide!


Now...in keeping with this echo's policy of not posting up long, involved
articles, I will only provide commentary on the information I have uncovered,
quite by accident, that is readily available to anyone who reads the following
informative current news sites;

Townhall.com


For those of you who have scoffed at my skepticism and opposition to the
`climate change-nee-global warming' scam....prepare to get a stick shoved in
your eye:


Ever hear of the American Physical Society?


Neither had I till just recently.


Seems its an organization that touted (until recently) `Man's' being the root
cause of `global warming'.


Its members were highly-regarded physicists and meteorologist, who were strong
believers in the `global warming-nee-climate change' thing.


But...here's the point of this post;


Recall, if you will, that I have been saying all along that it isn't now, nor
has it EVER been about actual `global warming-nee-climate change'; it was
always about MONEY!


Firstly, many highly credible physicist members of the today's scientific
community have described this `global `warming-nee-climate change' as a `scam'
just as I have been doing for several years, now!


For instance, Professor Richard Lindzen, formerly of MIT, a highly regarded
phyicist, described `climate change' alarmism on the Larry King show as being
like"...little kids locking themselves in a dark closet to see how much they
can scare each other and themselves."!


John Christy, profdessor of atmospheric science, university of Alabama,
Huntsville: "...I see neither the developing catastrophe nor the smoking gun
proving that human activity is to blame for most of  the warming we see..."


Judith Curry, Chair of the Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Georgia Tech:
Testified to the US House Sub-committed on the Environment that: "...the
uncertainties in forecasting climate science are much greater than the
alarmists will admit."


And one of the APS's most distinguished members, professor Hal Lewis, resigned
in disgust over what he called the APS's endorsement of "...the global warming
scam...!." That, by the way, was around three years back. I bet you heard very
little, if anything, about that in the mainstream media!


There's more:


Lewis's letter of resignation included a condemnation of the way in which
*money* had corrupted over the years, the entire meaning of the APS's aims and
goals, becoming less of a `scientific nature'...and far more of a `monetary'
one!

His leter of resignation read in part:


"When I first joined the American Physical Society sixty-seven years ago it
was much smaller, much gentler, and as yet uncorrupted by the money flood (a
threat against which Dwight Eisenhower warned a half century ago)."


He goes on to point out that, back then the drive was not monetary, but the
science and desire to `know'; yet today, is almost strictly all about `funds',
careers, and material greed.


He also indicates that modern-day `scientific findings' are more often than
not tied to what `the government' (the source of the amount of `funding'
recieved to further careers and monetary gain) wants to `hear', and not to
actual reality.


In other words, people, just as I have been stating all along, both in this
and several other echoes in Fido for many years; its all a big scam! The
taxpayers of the world have been bilked, and the so-called `climatology'
scientific community has made pseudo careers and retirement packages off of
this whole false-alarmist nonsense!
