No. How about this:


Were *you* in the New York City area in 1821?


A major hurricane hit Manhattan that year. Sea levels rose as much as 13 feet!
That it hit at low tide was pretty much the only thing that saved the entire
city from being washed away by sea water!


What do you suppose `Man-made' global warming-nee-climate change had to do
with THAT one?


Or in August of 1893, a category 2 hurricane hit and completely wiped out what
was known as Hog Island. The hurricane hit at the spot JFK airport stands
today. Dozens of watercraft sunk, sailors died. trees in Central Park were
uprooted, hundreds of them. A thirty foot storm surge took out all man-made
buildings and structures across southern Brooklyn and Queens. What was Man
doing then that `caused' that one? There were very few cars back then,
refineries weren't all that common, either.


It can be shown statistically that New York City's area gets hit with a major
hurricane about once every 75 years or so. Extrapolating back to prior to the
Landing on Plymouth Rock, the New York City area has been getting hit by major
hurricanes for hundreds, if not thousands, of years.


Has Man been causing THAT as well?


By the way...look up `The Long Island Express' in your spare time. That was
1938, a little early for the 75-year cycle. One hundred eighty-three mph
winds! Long Island wasn't very populated back then. The losses were minor
compared to what it would be today; in the billions!


By the way...for top ten worst hurricane sites in the nation? New York City is
number two on the list! Miami ranks number one. New Orleans ranks about fifth.

You should try getting a few facts on your subject matter before sweeping into
an echo with a *gotcha* post! You make yourself look silly.

Reagan was a popular movie actor, starred on television, did great in
politics; governor of California and president of the United States for two
terms.


How's *your* resume coming along? Ran any decent political campaigns that we
haven't heard of yet?

Reagan was very capable of thinking for himself. He caused the old Soviet
Union to collapse by his thinking. How's *your* thinking getting along?
Brought down any tyranical regimes in the recent past? Burned any good books
lately?
