No, we don't know that. As I wrote, he walks there, he eats there, he sleeps
there and he shits there. That sums up four main ingredients of life. To all
intents and purposes he lives there. And as he lived in Belgium before, he has
moved from Belgium to the USA.

This may or may not coincide with the US legal definitions, but that is
irrelevant. Legal permanent residence is not a requirement for a node number.

We are all on this planet on a temp basis. On day you will move out of the
place where you live now. Feet first or otherwise.

"Adding up" is not a requirement for getting a node number. There is no need to
ask these questions, let alone answer them. The requirements for getting a node
number are clearly described in P4 and provideing an explanation of why one
wants a node number now and not five years ago is not one of them.

Irrelevant, justification is not a requirement.

I think the standard Z1 response to this is: It is none of your business.

Which I must correct. It was not Z2 but Z4 that the other node was locataed.

The essence of the argument stands.

It is not my problem that they use the wrong nomenclature.

Indeed, up until now it is just hearsay from Janis that it did not arrive.

He HAS sent an application to RC17. Ward confirmed this to me. By netmail.
Which also shows he has netmail capability.


You know, this goes just as I expeced it would go. When someone asks for a node
number in Z1, trumpets sound and everyone falls over each other in joy over
having attracted yet another new node. It is annonced in the Gazete as "new
node in the works".

But now that it is Ward, every possible excuse for not honoring the request is
fetched from the dark corners of Fidonet. I knew this would happen...
