We aren't talking about `weather'. We're talking about a supposed `global
warming' catastrophe that was supposed to have overwhelmed us by now with
rising oceans, melting Polar Ice Caps, etc etc.....all `because of' the

Two things:

I am not a `creationist'.


The Earth has had tropical-like warming and ice age conditions alternately
for millions and millions of years. Back before Man even existed!


Another thing; Man has been `observing trends' in global climate for a very
short time (maybe 12 to 15 hundred years now), and the so-called Middle
Ages heat period is said to have been warmer than what we experienced in the
20th century. And it is also noted that there was a lot more CO2 in the
atmosphere back then as well.


Another thing; `Statistics' can be made to say whatever those who make them up
WANT them to say. Did you know there is a book out entitled "Statistics for
Dummies! A reference for the rest of us!"


There is also a book out there entitled "How to Lie Using Statistics!"


Some of the best liars in the world use statistics to back their claims. A
good example would be the present president of the US.


If this `global warming' thing was just something that came out of
universities, and was discussed among academics....with no involvement
of the taxpayer's money anywhere...and this `global warming' was being
kicked around as a `science' study among various academics on private
endowments...donors....private fund-raisers for continuation of the
studies...that would be one thing. I `might' think there was something
to it.


But this has taken a huge bite out of our energy use...is costing taxpayers
more and more money they can't afford, people aren't able to heat their
homes the entire winter....electricity production is being gravely
threatened....more and more petroleum and coal sources are being put out
of reach of the many....by a chosen few. And many of those `chosen few'
have an energy footprint that is bigger than a small city!....and you
guys are saying we shouldn't be a little skeptical here? That maybe
we shouldn't find out a whole lot more about this `settled science' before
we have another winter like this last one?


People were freezing because they couldn't afford the higgh cost of heating
oil. And coal is no longer available to them. And electric costs have
been artificially driven up. All as a result of this `war on fossil fuel'
being waged. And all these `know-it-alls' are telling us is `well....we gotta
save the planet!'


And, yes...academics who are `fudging' the info, and lying to us on the
exact seriousness of a problem that is seeming more and more to be
non-existent, must share the fault for that. As well as the responsibility
for people who died as a result of not being able to afford to heat
their homes all winter.


But....I shouldn't be skeptical, right? Just blindly believe all the
propaganda, right? Foolish of me to question *your* oh-so-superior
wisdom on the subject, right?


After all....statistics don't lie. .....right?
