Russian troops alread WERE in the country. By the thousands. They were among
other places in the Russian naval base in Sebastopol. Bt treaty.

He already had that. By treaty

The differences between the pro-westerners and the pro-Russians, Cremea in
particular, has been a ticking time bomb ever since the desintegration of the
Soviet Union. The trigger was when the pro-westereners revolted against their -
in their eyes too pro- Russian - elected president Viktor Janoekovitsj.

Problem with revolutions often is that not everyone agrees and what happens
then is that they feel justified to start a counter revolution. And this is
what happened. And then you gave a civil war. It was not the Russians that
started itm it was the Ukraniam people themselves that started it by their
failure to resolve their differences in a peacefull democratic way.

You can't just bomb people into democracy. It is sad to say but when people are
not ready for democracy, they resort to violence and then accidents will
happen. And then when others start to intefere, it gets worse.

I admire the Belgians. They are torn apart by internal differences. But they
always manage without taking up arms against each other...
