not in one sentence, no... the first sentence was what you quoted and
questioned... the last sentence of five (5) mentioned IREX... and there were
one or two other items brought up in them...

you don't have POTS for your node, do you? if not, then you don't count...

i've known it since irex was first written... i used to play with it when its
author and i were on the same beta teams when he initially released it... i
also know about using a network stack POTS dialer shim setup to get online via
dialup... that was common before IREX came out... i know of two networks stacks
used but can only think of one... the WATCOM stack... drivers written for one
would not work with the other one...
