As you know this is just more right wing fear tactics. The big thing over here
now is closing the borders which would only exacerbate the crisis in West
Africa and highten the risk of a global pandemic.  I'm sure most remember back
in 2003 (during the previous administration's time of being "At the Helm") the
SARS epidemic. Borders weren't closed and no one was demanding it. The only
positive way of stopping it is by controlling it at the source by improving
living conditions.  Stop it there, and your problem is solved.  So far one US
citizen as died from ebola and they were working IN Africa.  One has died
inside the US and  five known cases (two completely recovered and the three
quarantined in hospitals are listed as good to fair condition). Yes, there are
many suspected people who are quarantined but we all have to wait for the
results.  

It's a disease, nothing more, nothing less. Even when firemen fight a fire,
then don't spray water 3,000 miles away from it and expect the fire to go out. 
Improving conditions in West Africa is the only way of stopping it. People who
look at a problem and promote fear will never provide proper solutions, just
hysteria... which is the conservative mantra.  They're today's Henny Penny.

BTW, The Ebola virus is extremely rare. Among the leading causes of death in
Africa, it only accounts for a tiny fraction. People are much more likely to
die from AIDS (1 million +), respiratory infections (1 million +), or diarrhea
(600,000 +). Where's the panic over these?
