Quoted litteraly from the CDC-manual:
 
"The virus is able to survive on objects for a few hours in a dried state and
can survive for a few days within body fluids."
 
So which is it? The Canadian PHAoC or the American CDC?
 
Translated to human language: "When exposed to the presurised condition of an
airplane cargo hold, the virus will not survive" and "It may survive in the
body fluids of corpse for a few days."

That "vacine" the PHAoC is offering has only been tested on mice and never
clinically on humans. It's an experiment with dubious morals.
 
"It's never been tested on humans, but has shown promise in animal research,"
the agency itself states."
 
It is also figured to work only on white people and is not intended to heal
sick people.
 
In Liberia alone, there are 9.000 active cases. MSF (Docters Without Borders)
have 600 staff there which are rotated in and out about every 2 weeks. There is
a total of 700 hospital beds.
 
The world community, at least several members, do not understand the vast
amounts of money needed to get the resources to deal with this crisis.
 
The US's response is merely aimed at keeping it outside the US, while the real
needs are in West Africa.
 
Canada pledged CAD60.000.000 (US$53.000.000), but a country as small as mine
has pledged 45.000.000 Euro (US$57.000.000). Germany is already surpassing the
100.000.000 Euro (US$128.000.000), the EU pledges 500.000.000 Euro (US$
640.000.000). "That" is the kind of response needed ... not 800 experimental
vacines, never tested on humans and probably not working for locals anyway.
 
I am really shocked by some of the American PR claiming ebola was discovered by
the CDC and lists Piot as a co-discoverer while the man in his function at the
WHO did all the work already 30 somewhat years ago. The US is only leading in
PR, not in the field.
 
Google may be your friend, Roy, but it sure as hell is not going to cure ebola.
And certainly not 800 expirimental never-tried-before vaccines.
