The state of Louisiana has been offering
free college tuition for its residents for
decades through the TOPS program, named
after the late New Orleans oil tycoon
Patrick Taylor, who had come up with that
grand idea.

The state of Georgia has also had a free
college tuition program, but on a much more
limited scale, and far less inclusive.

US Senator Bernie Sanders, who is currently
running for President of the United States,
is promoting the idea of free college tuition
for all as a major theme of his campaign.

It takes one state, such as Louisiana, to lead.
The rest will most certainly follow.  And that is
exactly what is happening.  Louisiana has set the
standard for the rest of the country.  Even major
presidential candidates, such as Bernie Sanders,
have taken notice, and are promoting the idea.

Louisiana hss the best politicians that money
can buy.  But somebody forgot to tell them how
business works -

Education pays for itself, many times over.
The problem is, the state keeps paying residents
to go to school (free tuition), but once they
graduate they move on to other states where
better-paying jobs can be found.

OTOH, Louisiana does house more prisoners
per capita than any other state in the US.
Talk about great law enforcement.  We know
what to do with criminals.  Lock 'em up,
throw away the key!

Gertrude (the name of our electric chair)
is lonely.  Hasn't been used in years.
The state of Louisiana keeps her around,
though.  Seems the state has run out of
the drug it needs to put life row inmates
in terminal sleep mode.  But not to worry.
The state will find a supplier.  Lots of
drug dealers willing to deal, as long as
names are kept secret ...

Hard to imagine.  Using drugs used by
veterinarians to put animals to sleep on
humans.  One governor even had the bright
idea to get inmates to build a gurney
to be used to execute other inmates.
Caused an instant riot.

Such things could only happen in Louisiana.

A decisive date for what?  The deal with Iran is a done
deal, regardless of what the US Congress says or does.
So it can't be that.  The US presidential election is not
until November of next year, so it can't be that, either.
Hmmm.  I wonder what it might be?

AI, which began its development in 1956, uses a base 6
(and multiples of 6) for all its predictions.  It's even
noted in the Bible, as 666.  Nostradamus, and all other
true psychics, use a base 7 ...

Always the politician.  Let's see you promote
the idea of free tuition for Americans who want
to earn their PhD in Sweden ...

Note: While at it, you might as well throw in
room and board, as Americans will be needing a
place to stay and food to eat while pursuing
their studies.  :)
