Why?

That is a serious question.  I have not had a real job in decades.
Much more fun to play.  Just never saw the point in working for a
living.  Makes no sense.  Been there.  Done that.  Working implies
slavery.  Whether it be working for an individual or a company, it
is still slavery.  We should be our own master, in which case the
world owes me a living.  Not the other way around.

An alarm clock.  That implies time.  Our most precious commodity.
How I choose to spend it should be entirely up to me.  Even though
it is often taken from me, against my will.  Oh how I wish I could
get that time back.  But too late.  I must be more careful lest I
lose even more.  But no matter how hard I try, time always escapes
me.  Don't know why ...

An alcoholic priest.  Passed away in New Orleans in 2013.
Used to live in a cave.  Then somebody discovered him.
Philosopher who loved to speak Latin.  Wrote a few books,
some considered cult classics in religious circles.
You'd have to be high on something to understand his
writings.  If they can be understood at all.  But then,
you are talking about a man who lived in a cave ...
