Position is irrelevant.  Sysops have full freedom to choose
what echoes they want to include or exclude from their systems.

As a sysop, you have the same rights and privileges as all
other sysops.  That is the theory that fidonet is based on.

When a sysop, or group of sysops, try to deny you those
rights and privileges, they are trying to exert power over
you.  By allowing them to do so, you are limiting your own
self, which is rather stupid -

The last time I looked, Donald Trump is leading the pack
for the Republican nomination for president.  Seems to me
he must be doing something right.

There you go.  Sysops and non-sysops alike are free as a bird to
do whatever the fuck they want.  Have a cigar.  You deserve it.

Well, the Fidonews is what makes Fidonet.
So you might be right about that.

Limited participation, or distributed only in certain areas.
Full participation is the norm for most echoes.  And distribution
is normally a matter of sysop choice, regardless of location.

Only a small minority does things the NAB way.

The vast majority does things the normal way, aka the FidoWeb way.
