Hello Everybody,

Björn Felten has OPPOSITION!  A very brave, or extremely foolish,
warrior has stepped up to the plate and announced his candidacy for
Big Chief of the FN_SYSOP echo -

I am resending it.

I will step forward and run as a Candidate for moderator of FN_SYSOP

Here is the simple platform that I will run under.

 1.  I will remain open, fair and objective.  I will not take sides
     on any Fidonet issues presented in the echo.  I will listen
     to each side objectively before making any judgement as moderator.

 2.  I will not let any friendships, past, present and future color
     any decision I make in regards to this echo.  I will strive to
     unite the sysops in the echo for the good of the network as a
     whole.

 3.  I will treat everyone in the echo who is listed in the nodelist
     with dignity and respect, as long as they abide by the echo's
     rules.
     We are all adults, and sysops of FidoNet.  Moderation should be
     minimal and used only in extreme circumstances.

 4.  I will be visible and present, ask questions, answer questions
     and keep the conversation going in the echo.

It is my hope that I can be a fair and impartial moderator.  I am
willing to step up and do the job.

I like the "as long as they abide by the echo's rules" part of
this candidate's platform, as the candidate has listed no rules
for the echo.  That's right.  An echo with absolutely no rules.
In other words, an anarchist's dream echo.  As such, he has
definitely earned my vote.
