well, there is... the coders have to specifically allow for them just as they
have to allow for drag'n'drop and all those other supposedly default GUI
operations...

whoa! there's a difference between a console program and a DOS program running
in a DOS command window... a console program is a native non-graphical
program... you already know what a DOS program is...

good grief, no wonder you don't like those programs... on my Warp 3 Connect
system, i used the NPSWPS addon... all i had to do was LButtonDrag over the
text i wanted and then go to where i wanted to paste it and double click...
super super simple... now with eCS it is a bit tougher because i have to
rightclick and then hit paste... maybe i could SHIFT-Insert it but i've not
tried...

yes, when i told eCS that i wanted the DOS windows to use 10x8 font size, the
window was automatically enlarged to handle it... then it was a matter of
telling it to save that as the default... even on my w2kpro i set my prompt at
what i wanted and saved it... i don't know if you are running DOS GoldED or
native windows console GoldED, though...
