Just a bit of history for you, Michiel so you understand the euphemism you
tried to use...

first of all, it's "you can't have your cake and eat it too".. very personal.
there is no "the" cake.. much too disconnected.  Think of two brothers, one who
gets to cut the cake, and the other who gets to pick the first slice.

The *C structure distributing files and echomail is not covered in P4.. so you
see Michiel I hope what I'm talking about.  In that sense, it is not part of
fidonet.   File distribution is part of fidonet as witness (and YOU
should realize) there are a number of documents discussing File Distribution,
tick, allfix and more. As standards no less.. and products are listed as well.

(laugh)  You tell me, you are the head honcho of the FTSC... You don't even
know what files are pertinent?

No, you didn't, or you would have noted that the issue was settled, not in a
way I would have liked (I do believe strongly in software author's rights), but
in a way that will work because the contents of the archives are not changed..
only the filename is changed. This though could cause other problems for the
author because he may be expecting his file to exist with a LFN, and here we've
changed it to 8X3... get it?
