Spot on correct Mark.

A *LOT* Deeper.  What is missing in a huge portion or the programming people
today along with the unaware folks that are just users is that the entire
concept of 'small sub-program' operations with only 'local' variables are
COMPLETELY out of reality for any serious professional 'scientific method'
computer interface tools.  It is ABSOLUTELY necessary that ANYONE that is doing
even modern work MUST use GLOBAL 'variables' that can completely produce fully
functional operations that track back even to the 'start' of time in our work. 
The 'normal' way of thinking about programming that has gone upward and upward
into our user interfaces is to 'absolutely insist' that all variables should be
planned for and coded for what 'WE' or 'I' the programmer(s) want to use for
"OUR' or 'MY' work.  Exactly how the GateMan 'stole' the .DOC extension for
'window washing' as opposed to what was the pre-cursive extension for
programming documentation files.  And how we went from HeathDos, to MSDOS and
from OS/2 to 'Window Washing' and on and on.

It is no accident that even OS/2 was an Object Oriented platform.  With even
global variables for all, grin.  You really need to be Objective about what you
want to do with life, grin!  If you don't think this way a lot of bad doggie
bites could hurt us.

Makes it interestingly easy on how you can under the table snoop and corrupt
'normal' operations if you don't even check the BIOS ports and so on for even
your visual, audo, keyboard (vs. voice I/O?) operations that a 'man in the
middle' can do as a result of ignoring even global variables that have to be
checked even back to assembly language programming.  Or .. simpler, chortle ..
to even sort of guarantee that our beloved FidoNet is kept clean.  Just a
gentle touch here and there, smile?  Or frown in a picture instead?

The most interesting part about things like expanding 8 X 3 file names into
even longer and upper and lower case sensitive things is what?  That a real
good FidoDog could go back and do what with interesting global information
processing techniques?  That a modern Fido puppy wouldn't even know were taking
place on their hosty posty?  And from what zone in where?  Grin.
