Sn> 1 Now it just to tidy up the aka

 BM> OK...

Sn> Does this have any think to do with cleaning up AKAs

 Sn> #hide-aka 2:5020/999.* !2:*@fidonet # hide aka from all but fido
 Sn> zone 2 #present-aka 2:5047/999.1 2:5047/*.0* # present aka to all
 Sn> nodes in 2:5047

Sn> or is only my AKAs

No, don't worry about the HIDE-AKA area. Leave them all commented out for now.

Sn> 2 so it won't poll whispnet\league10 as the pkts fidonet whispnet
 Sn> league10
Sn> came from 1:340/400 like if I do binkd -P 1:340/400 Binkd, tries to
 Sn> poll 10:10/1

OK.. you can put a ROUTE-TO statement in your sbbsecho cfg. Add it manually
till you get the binkd style nodelists..

ROUTE-TO 1:340/400 10:* 316:*

BM> OK... one of two ways you can handle this. Get a binkd style nodelist
BM> from the league10 coordinator and add the following:
 BM> include <path to file>\\league10.txt

This is the only drawback on what I told you above. Your games have nothing to
do with sbbsecho as they create their own files and *.MSG. Once you get the
league10 nodelist, remove the 10:* from your sbbsecho.cfg ROUTE-TO statement.

 Sn> I am getting a binkd.txt from my Rob but h does't have league10.txt
Sn> and maybe to whispernet.txt I have to ask jon.

I have nothing to do with league10 but I'll send you over the whispnet.txt
binkd style nodelist I ahve here. The latest one I have is from day 50.

 Sn> when I poll 10:10/1@league10 I get this

 Sn> + 24 Mar 02:17:25 [4836] addr: 24:140/2@sportnet (n/a or busy)
 Sn> ? 24 Mar 02:17:25 [4836] called 10:10/1@league10, but remote has no
 Sn> such AKA + 24 Mar 02:17:25 [4836] done (to 10:10/1@league10, failed,
 Sn> S/R: 0/0 (0/0 bytes))

Sn> but if I poll 1:340/400 I get all league10 game files and
 Sn> fidonet.league10 and whispernet echo.pkt it I poll 316:771/1whispernet
Sn> it work fine but not league10 when I poll it

Probably has you setup with a session password...

BM> Or you can add a folder after the node entry for 1:340/400 and use a
BM> batch file to move your game files to that folder. Example:.

 BM> move /y 046b*.* c:\fd\league46
 BM> ^^^^^^^. ^^^^^^^^^^^^
 BM> .FileName Folder

BM> This will move the file from your game folder to what is called a
BM> mailbox. Ehen binkd sees a file in that folder it will automatically
 BM> poll that address.

Sn> not sure of this one do you mean ie

 Sn> node 10:10/1@league10 -md time.synchro.net password c
Sn> d:\bbs\fd\league46 and move the files there shouldn't be league10 just
 Sn> woundering

I am assuming your running BRE and FE. Just make a drop off folder say:
c:\league10 and have your batch file that run the game move the file to that
folder. Here is mine...

@echo off
cd c:\sbbs\xtrn\bre46
bre request
bre planetary
bre scores
bre bbsinfo
bre recon

cd c:\sbbs\xtrn\bre46\outbound <folder the game uses to store the file when
all the bre commands are run.
move /y 046b*.* c:\fd\league46 < moving said file to the league46 folder
<c:\league10>.

Now, you entry in binkd.cfg would look like (I'm using league10 as your folder
name):

NODE 10:10/1@league10 -md time.synchro.net <password> c c:\league10

For all this to work you're going to need the league10 nodelist OR add the
following to either your fido OR whispnet nodelist:

Node 10:10/1@league10	time.synchro.net	-

The - at the end is important.

If you do it this way, remove the 10:* from your sbbsecho.cfg ROUTE statment.

Sn> 3 get netmail to work to go via binkd

BM> OK... sbbsecho needs to convert the *.msg into a .cut file. That will
BM> happen when you run FIDOOUT.

Sn> yes it does do that but binkd doesn't send it, I see the message
 Sn> inside .cut
Sn> but there must be a setting wrong or samething.

What does you logs say? Is it putting it in the right outbound folder?

Sn> 4 get the Ibbs games pkts to go via binkd

BM> This was explained above regarding using the move command.

Sn> okay I see read that but when i ran fidoout I noticed that there
Sn> was a .cut file in a outbound dir of all the game pkt ready to be
 Sn> sent
Sn> but wouldn't send that as will with dir as well if we can get
 Sn> netmail
Sn> to work, then mayby will beable to send games pkt as that way as
 Sn> well.

Creatinga an outbound send box will take care of that. Just make sure in your
game cfg, to make a dummy netmail folder. It's not needed anymore to send the
game pkts

Sn> 5 setup 2 other node to poll

BM> when mail is tossed by sbbsecho, it creates a *.*LO file and puts it in
BM> the correct outbound folder. Binkd will see this file and poll. If
BM> you want to create a timed poll to get mail then use sbbs timed event
BM> and create a batchfile to move a zero byte file to the correct outbound
BM> folder. You'll need a txt editor and name the blank file: 01540190.CLO
BM> Move it using the /y switch to your OUTBOUND.001 folder.

Sn> no I don't want to use sbbs time event, I just useing the binkd -C
Sn> binkd.cfg for all, 2 poll other nodes is that I meant like a new node
 Sn> like 1:229/426 for usenet.

OK.. lost me there. You'll get the hang of the different things you can do
with binkd and Synch. Just relax and think about it. :)
