It comes and goes there. Some of them monitor this one too.

I don't know. I came into Fidonet in the early 90s, but didn't wonder far
from the CHATTER echo. I didn't even know there was a HAM related echo
until 1995. And then it seemed like they mulitplied into every possible
mode you can think of in Amateur radio. This one had a moderator who
wouldn't tolerate talk about CB radio, even when it was about modifying
one to cover ten meters...and morse code pros and cons were taboo here.

Lucky dog...We had just moved to the SA area when Katrina hit. My daughter
and her family live in the Houston area and we were concerned for their
welfare during Rita, but it turned out to be not as bad.

A friend of mine has a 9 call in California after having several 6 calls.
He was homesick, I guess. I keep mine because it's a vanity call and it
holds some sentimental value for me.
