Now who has the power to "destroy both soul and body in Hell"?

Hint - it ain't the Devil.  :)

Note Revelation 20:14, "Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake
of fire."  Read on.  Come to Revelation 21:1, which notes "Then I saw
a new heaven and a new earth...".  IOW, no more Hell, being that the
lake of fire is the second death, as noted in Revelation 20:15.  So
what happens to the souls which were cast into the lake of fire?  Being
there is no more Hell, those souls would have been disintegrated.

Personally, I prefer "magic mushrooms".  :)

Anything and everything that has or had a beginning has or has had
a most definite end.  IOW, anything that has a beginning will have
a definite end, assuming that end has not yet come.

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
- Genesis 1:1

Where is Hell?  Nowhere.  Does not exist.

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the
first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more."
- Revelation 21:1

Where is Hell?  Nowhere.  Does not exist.  And no mention of a new hell,
either.

The Sun, like all stars, will come to a definite end, given it had
a beginning.  The same with the entire universe.

"...and the sea [lake of fire] was no more." - Revelation 21:1

IOW, no more Hell.

I take it the reference is to Revelation 14:11 -

"And the smoke of their torment goes up for ever and ever; and they have
no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and
whoever receives the mark of its name."

First of all, night and day are relative, since night and day involves
time and space.  Obviously, if God destroys the "heavens and the earth",
meaning the universe itself, then night and day would cease to exist.

Being that night and day would cease to exist, "the smoke of their
torment" would be no more, meaning that Hell would no longer exist,
along with whatever souls might be residing there.

Remember, anything and everything that has had a beginning has or
will have a most definite end.  That includes the Sun, the Earth,
and the Moon.  Along with everything else in God's Creation.

Now, consider this -

What happened to the old earth when the new earth was created?
Golly gee.  The old earth was no more.

What happened to the old heaven when the new heaven was created?
Golly gee.  The old heaven was no more.

Of course, we are still waiting for the new heaven and the new earth
to come into being.  But we both know that such a creation cannot occur
until the present heaven and the present earth have been destroyed.

Oh, one other thing.  Jesus said "Blessed are the merciful, for you
shall obtain mercy."  Given that Jesus was a merciful guy, would it
not make sense that God's nature of love and mercy would exceed our
own?  If that is the case, then it only makes sense that God would
put an end to those souls residing in Hell, along with Hell itself.
