I've tried all distributions.. I liked slackware, however my biggest
concern was how to get the system updated.. I know some new tools has
arrivied, but I highly question their aviability of maintaining system
consistency... I really had a fight with Debians package manager
yesterday on some old debian box.. I really wished it ran slackware!

I remembered that emerge could be quite unstable.. And also rather
slow on e.g. my VIA EPIA which runs my BBS.

Yes.. I tried it all, and Ubuntu/Debian is the only distribution which can
satisfy my requirements.. :-)
