Hello Maurice.

16 Aug 09 15:49, you wrote to me:

 MK> Piece of cake. :-)

Now I have hit escape more than a few times, and I only got it to work as
described once ... :-((

I have also found out how to take the thing apart ... <VBG> but I haven't yet
... , and may well leave well alone, as I have found a FireFox plaugin that
does what I need done ... <grin>

Well someone, somewhere has to tell the server what to play, and as the server
may or may not be far away ... , a client program, to conect to it and compile
a playlist which the server will then most dutifully play ... , the big thing
is being able to see what is available and "TAG" it, and the tagged files are
then saved to a playlist ...

MK> Right. Piece of cake. Stick to the basics and it is a done deal. Why
 MK> confuse this issue?

Piece of cake, when you have 700 CD's worth of music say 10 tracks a CD, say
7000 tracks, I think you will still be compiling your playlist, and the time
available to listen will be long gone ... , besides most CD's have more than
10 tracks ...

MK> BTW I see Douglas has an interm release. I notice it he is

MK> where he got the idea to do that but it doesn't surprise me any.
MK> Didn't see anything about SQL type crap. <EG>

Hmmm, that is usefull, have you ever played with something called "sshfs"
<VVBG>, now that I find very useful ....

Will look at the interim release as soon as time becomes available here ...

PS. all going according to plan, I'll have my M-Audio 192 sound card
Wednesday/Thursday .... <VVBHG>

Russell
