Neat, only if the configuration is ermm... confgurable.  :)

I've thrown away a couple or more editors and several off-line readers that
kind of lost the plot with regard to a comfortable interface. (You may see from
my other screenshots that I tend to favour the blue hues.)

Maybe.  However I tend to shy away from such technology.  The means of
potential users gaining access sometimes lead a long & winding path of
pitfalls; I've been through several 'hell' experiences gaining access to
web-based forums.

On the flip-side, gaining access to a newsgroup-style account is far easier and
also provides the all-important technical hoop-jumping that ensures a good
'audience' in echomail discourses.

I know you're not really prototyping anything at present but if you'd like a
tester for any (different) environment then I'd be happy to try out an idea or
three.  I'm running three dissimilar linux systems. Also I know what a *sh
script looks like but not much more; I've spent more time in DOS than I'm ever
likely to on *nix.

Ah, 'cat' is a friend here.  Dunno about "sleeping".  How is it known when it's
awake, or, are we talking about the same beast?
