i never ran XP and don't intend to unless it is on a system given to me and it
can be reloaded and fully patched up-to-date...

i never ran that one, either... all the vista machines i support are also in
"classic" mode and many of them, even the higher-end ones, have all the fancy
stuff turned off...

i started with KDE1 and then went to KDE2 which was lightyears better... KDE3
was a major mess when it first came out... it finally got better and at least
one of my machines is running KDE3.5.10 on it... i've not seen KDE4 and don't
know of anything that KDE3 cannot do that i want, need or desire...

i know that... that's what i tell other folks all the time...
