Linspire may be _derived_ from Debian source but it has been
modified. If you check the web you will find people telling you
that installing software packages using apt-get from the Debian
repositories may hose the entire OS and will eventually turn
Linspire into a Debian install.  If what you wanted was/is Debian
install Debian and avoid the hassles.

CNR protects you from installing older/newer versions
incompatible with your installed version of Linspire. Using
apt-get has no such protections.

No, it's not a 'deal', it's a mistake unless you get the source
code and recompile everything to work with your version of
Linspire.
