No download/upload capability. :) ztelnet should do that for me; I
haven't tried it again yet. I'm still recalling that it uses the same
files that minicom is using for the zmodem protocols. I mostly "call" a
Wildcat board right now anyway, which minicom uploads and downloads to
fine over a telnet connection with zmodem support.

Got it!

AA> I just found out yesterday they make an X for dos. Or used to.

MK> Yep. I am not sure it is supported. Never tried it myself as DOS is

Maybe to give an alternative to Microsoft Windows I suppose?

Those files were from '96. I thought I heard recently in the back of my
mind that Xfree86 - or whoever is making X now - is also available for
Windows, or DOS. Haven't heard much of it though or even been to their
site for a while. So... I dun no nutting about it really.

MK> The console for sure. mc is DOSie. However the commandline reminds me

 MK> together. Oh well.

I don't mind mc. I think you just have to have something to deal with
filenames sometimes. If you're looking for an alternative though to a
console ui for file management, I used vfu for a while. The only reason
I'm not using it now is that Slackware came with mc. I tried vfu cause I
didn't know of one that came with Redhat, and that's what I first started
using back around February.
