Right.  I remember those.  Too bad they abandoned eisa before it had a chance
to prove itself.  The only peripheral I had was a flakey HP ethernet card that
exploited that interface so never did discover any real value or potential
there.  Same could be said about those vesa interfaces although at least there

Did you try it with linux?  Probably is a bios bug but you never know for sure.
 I used to beat the hd limitiation early on with linux when no other os,
including os/2, could.  I lied to the bios about the drive and once lilo handed
over control to the kernel it took care of the obvious.  :-)

I've run across a few.  Hard to come by that is for sure.

I suppose.  Never was an issue here thank goodness.  :-)
