It's a good idea, and I'll mention it to them.  By terminal do you mean
console?

I don't run too many things in X, like I said so I can't really offer many
suggestions.. let's see.. besides Firefox, sometimes I use open office if I
have to deal with "documentation" writing, that kind of thing.. but I hardly do
that right now.. I run centericq so I don't need anything like that over there
in X.. boy, guess I'm pretty boring <grin>.

:)  I used wget for while in a script I wrote for on of the fdn guys who needed
to grab some graphics off a site for his distribution.. worked great :)

Sure would be easier than using bbbs' language <grin>.. it's language is not
that bad really but I'm not a big fan of languages that are a combination of
languages (almost C, but not quite <g>)... that kind of thing.. I'd prefer to
write in bash as well.. Well, bbbs does have hooks for java and some others so
maybe it has a hook for bash as well.. have to look, it's been a while.. :)

Oh piggy!  we couldn't afford one like that haha.. well, actually, this was so
early I wonder if they HAD 20 meg drives yet :) :)

It was cool :)  As far as I remember, it was the first *nix available for a
PC..  We must have paid $500 back then for it.. no wonder we were broke :) :) I
remember going nuts trying to get the printer to work to no avail.. til I
realized I had to use ln to get the file in there haha.. it was so alien to me
at first, but it was great getting things going..

Heh.. would have been a BIT much for us too :) :)  When Ron felt he was ready
to give the software company we started a try, we sold our house, lived on that
money for a year while we worked up customers and exerience and tried to only
spend $$ on things that would help us either learn more, or be able to handle
any job that came along.  Naturally we moved in with Mom.  Naturally she still
charged us rent.. but it was still cheaper than the house had been. :)

Slackware sure caught my eye much later, as well :)  I remember contacting
Patrick and working out getting it distributed in the PDN.. it was another
great time to learn and explore.. I loved it.. He made the install really nice
compared to some of the other distributions at the time, I sure remember that

I bet.. it's the sad thing that Ron and I ran into.. No one we knew when we
were "looking around" had any experience in this stuff.. we had to fight our
way through it.. but it was great fun doing it <grin>

haha :)  Well, I usually did get "the" part in any acting I did.. was great fun
too :)  I was lucky in that the stinky little artsy village I grew up in,
though there were no computer geeks, there were a BUNCH of actors (broadway was
close) living in the area since it was considered one of "those" towns.  So I
got to work with a lot of them in community plays - In college it was a natural
for me to major in.. but then those darn computers got me hooked haha :)
