Oh, but they do! I used it just the other day. Sure, I had to post a Netmail,
"To:UUCP", then "To:1:134/77.10" in the body, then "To:user@domain" and it was
off to the races. Peice of cake! <G+D>

Ya, I know what you mean, but to the letter, I think this disproves your doubt.
Serial, modulated communication aint dead yet. Close, but not gone. Besides, if
there's no one left to answer a data call, we can always use them to
communicate facsimilies!

From your words here, I have no doubts. How could I quantify the "e-ticket" to
Linux I have received? I doubt I would have given up, (I'm stubourn like that.)
but for SURE I'd be so much further behind.

Yes, I'm positive your contribution to the habit... I mean hobby, could ever be
overstated. Obviously, as a newcomer, my notes are *so* much more disposable.
Like I said, my notes have a hierachy. Immediate, quick notes go on the bezel.
Meatier the note, the closer it gets to my archive. Yes, I think "(u)mount
/dev/cdrom" is now at the recycle bin, but it was a note that barely needed
writing down. I've described how I was working on the G400, where there was
three GUI screens, with multiple open apps on each. It still didn't get the
tuner working, (Tomorrow's another day. |-) but to be able to see the
instruction, next to the open edit file, with the tab for the rc (What was rc
standing for again?) then two sticky notes with a quick syntax quotables... ...

I'll wager a lot of money they have more pray on them there, than here. Cripes,
even coyotes won't come to my house, and I've aright of way to the city limits.
More skunk than rabbit, come to think about it. Buddy had a badger saunter down
his main street one fall. Guess it was displaced by harvest, and looking for
any housepet (s)he could take it out on. Very little is worse in life, than a
POed badger looking for an ankle.
